We aim to provide affordable, quality clothing for women and children in a Christ-centered environment that reflects dignity, compassion, and stewardship, while advancing the Gospel and supporting our mission work in Nigeria. We envision Lydia’s Closet as a place where generosity meets need, lives are uplifted, and God’s provision is tangibly experienced through community giving.
Alexis Tweddell
Founder
Alexis Tweddell is the co-founding pastor (with her husband Greg Tweddell) of Ignition633 Global Ministries, which started in the fall of 2014.
They have been serving the Lord for over 35 years in various areas, including both here in the U.S. and in Nigeria. Alexis and Greg are parents of two daughters (Brooke and Ivonne) who both work with them in the ministry.
Alexis has a passion to help women and children both spiritually and physically. Her desire is to teach, lead, and train others to share the love of Jesus locally and all over the world.
Jena Sellers
Director
Jena Sellers is a wife, and mother of 3 (ages 4, 2, and under a year). She has been serving the Lord in Ignition633 Ministries since late 2018 and is on the worship and media teams.
She began as a volunteer for Lydia’s Closet as a new stay-at-home mom, but the Lord moved her into the leadership position as Director. She has a real passion and love for this ministry and its wonderful customers. She continues to seek the Lord for His desires for the expansion of Lydia’s Closet to meet the needs of the women and children in the Elkton area.
Lydia’s Closet began from Alexis’ love of fashion and a simple desire to share some of her own clothes with friends and other ladies in her ministry. From those small beginnings in the back of a ladies Sunday small group, the Lord birthed a larger idea. It was to provide gently used clothing for a small donation to fund the Kingdom work and help meet the needs of the women’s ministry at that time. It also provided an opportunity for women to engage in that same effort while at the same time, finding a place to donate their still nice items to benefit and bless others.
Many women have appreciated the Lydia’s pop up shopping times over the years, but God breathed a dream into Alexis’ heart to open a permanent location. What started as a single rack of clothes, has now grown into a department store size shopping ministry that will affect not only the local community, but the surrounding areas for all who come to enjoy Lydia’s Closet.
